How we pick tools

We only list tools we'd actually recommend. That means:

• Real free plans (not "free trial" that disappears in 7 days)
• Tools that are actively maintained and improving
• Value at the price point — no bloated enterprise tools unless they earn it
• Genuine fit for the professions we list them under
